Ryan and Sonnie Neiman    Hulett, Wyoming

Ryan was born and raised in Hulett.  His livestock ventures started with a push from his uncle Russell to take a heifer calf to the county fair.  After receiving reserve champion honors with his ChiXAngus heifer "Sugar Baby" Ryan was hooked.  He continued to work on the ranch and show cattle through high school, where he was also active in FFA, Football, Basketball and Track.  After graduation in 2000 Ryan attended the University of Wyoming where he Majored in Animal Science.  While at UW Ryan lived and worked at the university beef unit, and was a member of the Meats, Livestock, Academic Quadrathalon and Meat Animal Eval Teams.  After college graduation Ryan had the chance of a lifetime to work side by side with Dave Winnegar at Cow Country Genetics and Jeff Ward at Sinclair Cattle Company.  The lessons learned from those two mentors lead him home to the Neiman 77 Ranch in 2006.

Sonnie was born and raised near Hanna, Wyoming were she helped her parents run a commercial cattle operation. During her time in Hanna she helped her family on the ranch and was very active in FFA and various sports. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science and became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2008. Her ambitions then took her to the University of Wyoming were she earned her master’s degree in nutrition while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the club sports program at the university. In 2011 she took a job as the head athletic trainer for three small high schools in Crook and Weston counties and relocated to Hulett, Wyoming. She continues to work as an athletic trainer and helps Ryan on the ranch whenever possible.

The rest is history. Ryan and Sonnie were married September 14, 2013. They now have 3 daughters Kaycie, Sutton and Royce. Together they run Neiman Cattle Company in Hulett, Wyoming.
